Acquisition of Rotageek marks 2020 Fund's 4th exit

Portfolio company Rotageek has been acquired by ELMO Software, the PE-backed parent of Breathe HR

Volution is pleased to announce the acquisition of workforce management software provider Rotageek by ELMO Software, the private equity–backed parent of Breathe.

Founded with the mission of improving how organisations schedule and support frontline teams, Rotageek has grown into a category-defining solution used by leading retailers and healthcare providers across the UK. Volution first invested in the company in 2020 ahead of a planned equity raise and led a follow-on round in 2022 to support its journey to break-even and scale.

The transaction follows a series of recent portfolio developments, including the sale of FullCircl to nCino, and the all-share acquisition of Apperio by US-based Persuit.

Now part of ELMO and backed by K1 Investment Management, Rotageek joins a broader platform focused on innovation in HR software across the UK and Australia. The cultural and strategic fit between the two companies—anchored by a shared focus on customer impact and purposeful growth—creates a strong foundation for further expansion.
